Jeffrey is an avid lover. Yes. An avid lover. He derives creativity from “Afternoon Delight” (Starland Vocal Band) and “Love Bites” (Def Leppard). These and “Tiny Dancer” (Elton John).
Jeffrey really enjoys the simple things in life – carrot cake, bubble tea, IPAs, and quotes from Doug.
His philosophy is that life is a wheel – sometimes you’re on the road, and sometimes you’re near the brakes. Yet, no matter where you are, you’re on it – you’re on the wheel. And that’s grand. Really.
If you want to make him smile, mention Richard Dawkins, Terry Gross, Peter Segal, Ira Glass, Gary Brolsma, Mike Myers, Seth Green, Brea Colleen Grant, and living in South Korea.
In reality, though, Jeffrey came to the Atlanta area in 2006 to pursue science. He’s worked at Virginia Tech, SUNY Albany, and, currently, Emory University. Science is great- but Jeffrey is all about balance. Thus, Jeffrey started taking dancing and improv classes. He has continued to pursue his improv with classes at Dad’s Garage, JaCKPie, PushPush Theatre, and the BlackBox Improv Festival. Being on stage and creating with others is what Jeffrey enjoys most about improv. That, and applying the basics of improv to life – listening, being in the moment, having a want, and being emotionally available and aware.
