Born and raised in Alameda, CA, a small island in the San Francisco Bay, Steven Westdahl began performing young. After being relocated to Atlanta as a teenager, he graduated from North Springs High School [a Performance Art Magnet School] and went on to receive BAs from Emory University in English and Theatre & Film. While at Emory, he performed and toured with Rathskellar, the oldest college improv group in the nation. After graduation, Steven traveled to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he and the other members of Second Option received a ‘five out of five stars’ review from The Scotsman and were placed on the short list for the Perrier Comedy Best Newcomer Award. Since then, Indonesia, Russia, Ireland, England, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic have all played host to his performances. While calling Atlanta ‘home’, Steven works with and for theaters like Dad’s Garage, PushPush, Twinhead, Theatre Emory, JaCKPie and others, shows art at galleries like dooGallery, Beep Beep and Eyedrum, Djs mashup dance parties as DJ Fenestration and occasionally officiates a wedding as The Reverend Doctor Steven Westdahl.
