Jackpie began in 2001 as a 2 man show created by Chris Pierce and Jim Karwisch to offer Atlanta a unique entertainment experience, and to represent Atlanta at festivals across the country. As the project continued it grew into a production company of over 25 players and a training school which was called JaCKPie University. In 2005 we found a permanent home at the Relapse Theatre in Atlanta’s Midtown and at the time of this writing have grown to a community of 100 members.
The Jackpie philosophy draws heavily on training in conventional acting and theory. We are now pleased to be able to offer even more quality performances training in Improv, Film and Sketch so that more people in Atlanta can experience this cutting edge artform.
