Prepare yourself for the most metal improv in North America…
Lead singer Rent Treznor (Pat Young) and lead guitarist Nave Davarro (Sacha Dzuba) tour the world over with their perfect blend of improv theatre and heavy metal as Metal Maniax. In 1984, a nerdy Nave Davarro moved from Great Britain to a small borough of San Francisco and met an equally nerdy Rent Treznor. They became close friends when they learned that they both had a love for heavy metal. A year later, they went to a concert and saw Rob Halford and Jimmy Page perform a scene involving Nixon and Agnew inside a turkey factory. This was the birth of Metal Maniax. Their stage show is influenced by artists like Iron Maiden, Del Close, Metallica, and Keith Johnstone. After 20 years of touring, the two have dined with queens, rocked in Rio, and have more money than Rhode Island…but none of it would matter without their amazing fans. Rent and Nave thank all of their fellow “maniax” for their love and support of metal and improv. You guys rock! Now give us a suggestion!
