Jackpie Improv Teams

Many of Jackpie’s shows are performed by Improv Teams forged in our Training School and given stage time to develop their own style and hone their craft.

House Teams:

  • Babies mit Bearden

    Known best for their form "Captain Corporal Ensign", BmB is an House Team formed in 2003.

  • Einstein Meets Elvis

    An all-star cast to rock your socks off! (EmE is not responsible for lost socks) is a House and Touring Team formed in 2005.

  • Kevin

    Kevin's motto is "Character is King". Made from some of Jackpie's strongest acting talent this team cannot be missed!

  • Your Mom's Mom

    Your Mom's Mom is a House Team at Jackpie that formed in 2008.

Crecent Teams:

  • Don't Science

    Crecent Team - Don't Science is an Improv Team at Jackpie Theatre. They formed in 2009.

  • Gigantor

    Gigantor is a Crecent team with Jackpie that started in December of 2009.

  • Voodoo Cat Orchestra

    Jackpie's newest Crescent team hits the stage for its debut in Late March. Check the schedule for more details!

Splinter Teams:

  • Amerika

    Amerika is a playground for the absurd and a nursery for classically trained two person bacchian scenework. i.e. they prefer to discover the form on the fly.

  • Best Trio Ever

    Best Trio Ever explores the relationship of people and cuisine. Starring Jen Caldwell, Derek Mize, and a very special guest Chef who whips up the show meal!

  • Binkley and Dunn

    Binkley and Dunn is a duo of Brad Binkley and Damian Dunn.

  • Drug Money

    From the creators of In Harm's Way and Einstein Meets Elvis comes the newest bad@ss improv romp at Jackpie. Keep your kids off the streets and away from Drug Money.

  • Femprov

    FEMPROV is Jillian Fratkin and Lo Lankford's multimedia one-woman show/Sideshow inspired side project.

  • Four Ate Five

    Four improvisers ate the fifth. That's serious improv.

  • Frakin and Mize

    Forged in the heart of Sideshow, this duo can not be missed!

  • Free Kittens

    Known for their intense energy, group mind and insane group games, Splinter Team Free Kittens was formed in 2007.

  • In Harm's Way

    They are soldiers of misfortune. They are In Harms Way. Let them save you, too.

  • Lady Parts

    Lady Parts is an all female Jackpie Team featuring some of Atlanta's finest Improvisers!

  • Minority Report

    After performing together in various capacities since 2003, these two multi-racial dudes have finally developed a two-man show that brings the full force of their edgy, topical humor to bear.

  • Project Gemini

    Project Gemini (Pronounced Jim and I) was created by Jackpie Founder Jim Karwisch as an experiment to see what would happen when two veteran improvisers performed together in a duo show together with no preparation or rehearsals.

  • Toxic Gumby

    Multiple Jackpie Chambers champ Toxic Gumby is alternately a 2-person trio or a 3-person duo depending on availability.

  • Wish I was Blond

    You'll laugh so hard you'll wish you were blond.
